Rand first became enthralled with cameras in the early 70’s. His first Leica was inherited later that decade from his grandfather. Over forty years later he still loses himself behind the camera, but his perspective has been refined by a lifetime of entrepreneurial experience and multiple near death experiences.

The South African born photographer’s work is characterised by its highly emotional, intimate, and spiritual content.

Rand lives in Sydney with his wife and has two sons. He is eternally grateful to his heart transplant donor for giving him the gift of life.
